Fatal Crash On I-215 In Salt Lake County (Updated)
On August 25th at approximately 1637 hours, UHP troopers responded to a crash on I-215 southbound near 2300 North. The crash involved three vehicles; a 2021 Subaru CrossTrek, and 2005 Jaguar S-Type, and a 2024 Ford F-150. The Subaru rear-ended the Jaguar, which was then pushed into the rear of the Ford. The driver and rear passenger of the Jaguar suffered fatal injuries. Lanes of the roadway were closed for approximately four hours while the scene was processed. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Jaguar driver (deceased): Jody W. Thackeray, 68 years old, Ogden, UT. Jaguar passenger (deceased): Desiree S. Thackeray, 40 years old, Ogden, UT.
