Starting September 7, the outside southbound lane of Texas Avenue will be closed between 27^th and 28^th streets as the Brazos County Administration Building remodel continues along that side of the building. 

The closure will also affect a portion of the roadway between 26^th and 27^th streets with a barricaded merge lane (this may affect a Brazos Transit bus stop along that block). 

 The inside southbound lane will remain open but could become more congested during peak traffic times.  This closure is expected to remain in place through the end of 2026.
