ASP CID ASSISTING HOXIE POLICE AFTER BODY FOUND

HOXIE, Ark. — At the request of the Hoxie Police Department (HPD), Special Agents with the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) are investigating the death of a Salem man.

Around 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, HPD received a report of a body on property adjacent to a parking lot at People’s Faith Tabernacle Church, located at 1202 Sullens Road.

The victim has been identified as James Frey, 34, of Salem. The deceased will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where the cause and manner of death will be determined.
