Board Issues Guidance on "Vaccine" Meaning to Pharmacies
The Georgia State Board of Pharmacy issues this letter to provide guidance to Georgia pharmacies and pharmacists regarding the meaning of the term "vaccine" for purposes of pharmacy vaccine administration under O.C.G.A. § 43-34-26.1 and a valid vaccine protocol agreement. This guidance is intended to promote uniform compliance by pharmacists and pharmacies and does not amend, expand, or replace the requirements of Georgia law, the rules governing the practice of pharmacy, or any applicable federal requirements.
