TCEQ approves fines totaling $2,005,457
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality today approved penalties totaling $1,823,148 against 40 regulated entities for violations of state environmental regulations.
Agreed orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: 15 air quality, two industrial hazardous waste, three multi-media, seven municipal wastewater discharges, three public water systems, one sludge, one waste disposal wells, and two water quality.
Default orders were issued for the following enforcement categories: one Edwards Aquifer, one municipal solid waste, one municipal wastewater discharge, one petroleum storage tank, one public water system, and one water quality.
In addition, on Aug. 11, the executive director approved penalties totaling $182,309 against 44 entities.
