Crosswalk improvement project at Puncateest Neck Road
The intersection and crosswalk improvement project at Puncatest Neck Rd, Main Road and East Road is scheduled to begin on September 8th, 2026.
Work is approved to take place both at night and during the day. The initial anticipated schedule is:
Week one: daytime work Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
Weeks two and three: nightwork Sunday thru Thursday 8:00 PM- 6:00 AM and daytime work Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
Week four: daytime work Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
For night work expect one lane open to alternating traffic in each direction Sunday night through Friday morning 8:00PM to 6:00AM.
Daytime lane restrictions are from 9:00AM through 3:00PM Monday through Friday expect one lane open in each direction.
The project is 90- day duration with a substantial completion date of 12/7.
Please note construction activities may be subject to delays based on weather third party delay or unforeseen circumstances.
