I-395 northbound lane closures in Alexandria tonight - Aug. 20

ALEXANDRIA – The northbound I-395 general purpose lanes will continue to have single-lane closures on a bridge located between Edsall Road (Route 648) and Duke Street (Route 236) Friday night, Aug. 14; Saturday night, Aug. 15; and Monday, Aug. 17, through Thursday, Aug. 20, for bridge rehabilitation work, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.

The right lane of the northbound I-395 general purpose lanes bridge over the ramp to the 395 Express Lanes, located approximately at Mile Marker 2, will be closed as follows, weather permitting:

Northbound right lane closed

  • 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, to 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15.
  • 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, to 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16.
  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17.
  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19.
  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20.

Drivers are reminded to use caution when traveling in active work zones. Be alert to new traffic patterns and limit distractions.
